“Memento Mori” (in latin: “Remember that you will die”)
We know we are mortals, but most of us do not think about it much.
A young and healthy person purchased one of my coffins as a reminder of her mortality.
As she lays in the coffin, she is reminded to love and live life fully in each moment.
There is, on Salt Spring Island, a Natural Cemetery where one can be buried in the soil, in a willow coffin or simply in a shroud.
